How is design-build different from architect-led design?
In design-build, construction leadership is involved during design so cost, sequencing, and site logistics inform the drawings. You can still have strong design authorship . with fewer late surprises.
Do I still get detailed plans?
Yes. Permittable drawings and specifications are produced; the difference is how tightly they are coordinated with the builder.
When should we start?
As early as site selection or concept. Earlier GC involvement usually improves budget accuracy.
What affects the cost of design-build custom homes?
Access, existing conditions, dimensions, materials, engineering, and permit requirements all affect the proposal. A site-specific written scope is more useful than an online price guess.
